Joints and Actuation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the actuation system and joints of the exoskeleton, including the structural components and mechanisms

Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and developing mechatronical systems for robotic applications.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical design and simulation software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Siemens NX, or ANSYS.
  • Familiarity with joint actuation and control mechanisms, including motors, sensors, and feedback control.
  • Experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques for mechanical systems
  • ⁠At least 8h/week availability

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in using simulation software for multi-physics modelings, such as ANSYS or COMSOL.
  • Experience in designing and implementing control algorithms for joint actuation and feedback control.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing or CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with biomechanics and human anatomy.
